Who can play in the tournament?
Anyone 16 years of age or older. You can register as a full team or as an individual player and we will place you on a team.
Do I need experience to play?
Not at all. The tournament is open to all skill levels, from first timers to seasoned players. Just bring your effort and your heart.
What does my registration include?
Entry to the tournament, access to the heart health keynote, a spot at lunch, raffle entry, and the chance to compete for the Hoops and Hearts title.
Can I attend without playing?
Yes. Register as an attendee to reserve your seat for the keynotes and the finals. Families and spectators are welcome all day.
Where do the proceeds go?
All proceeds from ticket sales support yearly events run by Hoops and Hearts and are donated to related charitable initiatives working to improve the treatment of heart disease.
Is parking available at the venue?
Yes, free parking is available on site at the Aaniin Community Centre. Public transit options also service the area.
How many players are on a team?
Teams are 5 players. If you want to play but do not have a full team, register as an individual and we will place you with other solo players.
What should I wear and bring?
Athletic wear and indoor court shoes are required for players. We provide water throughout the day. Feel free to bring your own snacks, and spectators are welcome in any attire.
Is the event family-friendly?
Absolutely. Families, friends, and spectators of all ages are welcome to attend throughout the day. Only players competing in the tournament must be 16 or older.
